My gratitude to you
Shines like a thousand sapphires,
I admire each gracious moment
Of the country's glorious history.
Once I've crossed the ocean,
I will bring my heart, thoughts and identity
To a new place,
Knowing that home is where the heart is.
Grateful to numerous writers, musicians,
To the tradition of freedom and prosperity,
Values and ideals
That people bear in their minds.
In case you don't see me in person
Remember the shining garlands of my words
Of gratitude and recognition.
* It's no good to congratulate people in advance,
but this is for Nov 24 this year - The Thanksgiving Day in the US.
