PANNYKHIS (Pannychis) The goddess of night festivities and parties. She was one of the attendants of Aphrodite, as depicted in Athenian vase painting.
PANNYKHIS
Her game of joy and romance
Is restless,
She rests under the falling stars,
While meteors
Leave traces in the deep blue sky.
She reeks of roses and lilies,
She also dances like a young deer,
And in her presence
Sadness disappears.
