Goodbye for now

You are out of my eyesight,
I don’t feel any pain.
All our wishes fell apart
And nothing could remain.
You treat me like a pawn
In a well-known game.
But I wanted to be heard and perceived
Like a flower in a thriving place;
I want to walk with someone
Whose kisses are sincere
On whom I easily could back, 
See our common future in the clear sea.

Thank you for this experience 
It was enough to realise
That love includes not only passion
But something more above.
I set these boundaries forever
And didn’t blame myself for that.
I choose prosperity instead of blight
And want you to accept it till the end.

We could not be just friends
And promise we will never be.
Each word you uttered in that evening
Was like a knife for me.
