what is your love

i can't see you when i hug you
you run through my fingers and through my eyes
                like a kind stream of pure energy
when I see you, a state of euphoria seizes me
                and I burn with pure flame
when i see you i know you feel it
What do you feel? for me it's a whole set of things
that connection is strong and seems to me
                to strengthen and change over time

when I enlightened myself
you were always with me
your hands (they were yours, no one else can)
                helped heal me of my ailments
go through it all
when my body was peeling off unnecessary emotions
you stood and waited for it to be over
                and were my safe arms

when I got stuck and started panicking and doubting
you waited for me to solve it, you didn't leave
when I made a mistake
           you were furious but gave it another chance

you helped me move on and not be afraid
           when I thought I was home and happy
when I understood that now I will meet a mortal fear
           and a memory that cannot be cured by love

I broke my vows
I broke my promises

and you disappeared
it seemed like you weren't
        I was dissapointed
and I gathered the courage to ask
do you know where do you know when
in the city above the river, in the morning
        when you woke up alone with disappointment
there I felt for the first time a heart
        that had been silent until then

you understand that completely in each of them
were you with me
