Georgia Election Worker Reveals ‘USB Port’ That Giuliani Said Rigged Election Was Actually a Ginger Mint
By Michael Luciano Jun 21st, 2022,

The “USB port” that Rudy Giuliani falsely claimed helped rig the 2020 presidential election in Georgia against Donald Trump turns out to have been just a mint.

Wandrea “Shaye” Moss testified before the Jan. 6 committee on Tuesday. The panel aired a clip of Giuliani alleging that a video showed Moss and her mother, Ruby Freeman, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta during the 2020 election engaging in election fraud. His claim is false.

“The tape earlier in the day of Ruby Freeman and Shaye Freeman Moss and one other gentleman, quite obviously surreptitiously passing around USB ports as if they’re vials of heroin or cocaine,” Giuliani said in the clip, as if to draw a connection between illicit drugs and the two women, who are Black.

“I mean it’s obvious to anyone who is a criminal investigator or a prosecutor, they are engaged in surreptitious, illegal activity that day, again that day,” he continued. “And after a week ago, they’re still walking around Georgia lying.”

Moss revealed she first learned of the accusations when her boss alerted her, prompting her to check her seldom-used Facebook account.

“I don’t really use Facebook,” she testified. “I have one. So I went to the Facebook app, and I’m just kind of panicky at this point because this has never happened to me. And my mom is involved. I’m like her only child.”

Moss revealed that her Messenger folder was loaded with “a lot of horrible things.”

Committee member Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) asked if the messages included threats.

“Yes, a lot of threats,” she replied. “Wishing death upon me. Telling me that, you know, I’ll be in jail with my mother and saying things like, ‘Be glad it’s 2020 and not 1920.'”

“Were a lot of these threats and vile comments racist in nature?” Schiff asked.

“A lot of them were racist,” she responded. “A lot of them were just hateful.”

Schiff turned to the matter of the alleged USB drives.

“In one of the videos we just watched, Mr. Giuliani accused you and your mother of passing some sort of USB drive to each other,” he said. “What was your mom actually handing you on that video?”

“A ginger mint,” she explained.
