(Tribute to murdered children in school shooting)
What evil must possess the soul,
To shoot a child in school halls.
The politician yells “more gun control!”,
But we all know - it’s all for show.
What evil must possess the mind,
To leave all common sense behind,
and kill most innocent and kind.
When children die - the angels die.
What evil must possess the heart,
To rip the families apart.
You can’t refresh or hit restart,
Forever broken into shards.
How much of this can we endure?
The answer’s hazy and obscure.
There is no remedy, no cure,
For evil’s dark, for evil’s pure.
