The rain falls on just and on unjust

“He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good,
and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
                Matthew 5:45

“And we know that in all things God works for the good
of those who love him, who have been called
according to his purpose.” Romans 8: 28

All blessings are distributed to us
not evenly: some lack, some have excess!
We are at a stupendous nonplus:
why some get more of them, but others – less?

Why some are full of vigour and good health,
while others are in bed, with cancer ridden?
Why some are begging, others – roll in wealth,
the reason for this all from us is hidden.

Why struggle is for some in everything,
while very few in comfort seem to glide?
Why some aren’t able to produce offspring,
yet, kids for others can become their pride?

Some live a century, but others – just few days...
Some live in peace, while others know wars...
Some have experience of inspiration blaze,
and yet, for others Spirit shuts all doors.

Why some are kind, honesty maintain,
while others turn their ways to lies and crimes
and cause to many suffering and pain?
Perhaps, we will discover this sometimes...

Why some despair, others live in hope?
The differences are, indeed, immense,
why life is such. It is beyond my scope,
beyond all comprehension, any sense.

Yet, something tells me that in all of this,
which looks sometimes as a strange whim,
God knows what He does, the truth is His,
as every breath one day returns to Him.

The thoughts of meeting Him overwhelm.
This life’s puzzle will be solved by God,–
each piece creates a picture in His realm,
however now it appears odd.

Whatever God had put on our plates,
His blessings are according to His plan.
In situations that the Lord creates
there is a wisdom, hidden from a man.

Our destinies are varied, indeed!
Yet, on the cross for all the Lord had died.
His life is given for each human deed.
All, who repent, are now justified!

No matter how different we are,
for all, who welcomes Jesus Christ today,
the Lord will heal each pain and each scar,
accepting in His Kingdom us one day.

Christ’s blood today unites everyone
and makes one body from so many parts.
The sacred body of God’s only Son
to all, who loves Him, now hope imparts.

The rain falls on just and on unjust,
but keeping faith in my Lord I should,
for if my heart keeps in His promise trust,
I know He is acting for my good!
