Old Russian joke

(with a programmer’s interpretation:))

Sometimes, somewhere, in some Africa, there was a normal forest with normal animals, where Lion was normally the king, of course.

One day the Lion said:
“I am getting tired, so I better retire. I have heard that Democracy is the way to go, so you should elect your new king among yourselves."
"And, by the way, no one should be eating anybody during that process.”

Animals were arguing for a few days becoming hungry and tired.

Lion, observing the mess said:
“Alright then, let me help”, and he approached the sorting problem in a Lion’s way, of course.

He said:
”Ok. Let’s start this way. Let beautiful go left, and smart go right.”

Animals, feeling Lion’s pressure quickly separated. Yet, one animal - the monkey was still standing in the middle.

The Lion, becoming angry, slowly approached the monkey and asked:
“Monkey, do you disrespect my decision?”.

The monkey, all trembling and barely speaking, yet provided its response:

1. NO!!! Not at all, Sir! That is not my intent.
2. I just don’t know how to split.
