Sleeping Beauty
In the garden of my heart
Before anything else was blooming in there
When there was darkness and cold
I dreamed you in the shadows
I dreamed you in the sacred corners of my soul
I craved you
I longed for you
And then I died.
I died,
And beautiful flowers grew on my grave
Blessed with the rain
And the place where I laid turned into the orchard
Where strangers get lost
As they search for the transient beauty…
And there you found me.
A newborn with no memory,
No sin, no envy
And you leaned down
And you kissed my pale face
And the roses turned red
And there we danced
In a beautiful snow of infinity
To never be lost and never be dying again.
