From yellow to blue

We used to be two careless kids,
You were my light just ever since.
I couldn’t been more grateful, God sees,
But years changed us, it is what it is.

Curly, cute, humble, and kind,
I wish you nothing but the best.
But your apathy was by design,
It hurt bad like a stone on my chest.

Good friends are very hard to find,
And so is someone who knows it well.
I really thought you were the same type,
But you’re not and it hurts me as hell.

You said that you didn’t care at all,
Words squeezed my lungs like a corset.
You think that I am too emotional,
Am I? Or are you just emotionless?

You were the friend of my life,
I loved you, and saw all the yellow in you.
You left and it is no more that bright,
I’m sorry that our friendship turned blue.

It’s OK. I promise. It’s I’ll get through,
I knew you’d leave anyways.
Cause it was too good to be true,
Well at least it seemed so in my gaze.

This is a poem for you, dear D,
I do not cry neither regret.
I’ll miss you much, however I see
You didn’t get to know me yet,
And I never knew you,
my dear friend...
