pioneers are gonna come back

pioneers were leaving for forests, leaving graves of the dead ancestors
with their doleful and sad dogs' howling, with their artificial dentures
they bequeathed to descendants their loving, looking for long time after those
wondrous black birds that were flying  solemnly in the quiet heavens

pioneers were saddling the horses, gathering their plain possessions
cigarettes and the midnight tea, from their favorite children's songs
they were leaving for the grey mountains, raised the banners of fallen prophets
and the grey smokes were flying over their long curly haired heads

pioneers were upholding masts and filling sails with the friendly wind's blows
ships were taking off to the sea, sea was generously sending storms
pioneers were greeting with laughter this dumb rage of the silly nature
and the Jolly Roger was laughing, cause he was the biggest romantic

pioneers, they desired for so much, but they are always were short of money
then the money came in abundance, but stop desiring by that time
pioneers are still gonna come back, find their graves at Vasilyevsky island
with its awkward forest and mountains, in the pointless waves of the ocean

Пионеры в леса уходили,
Оставляя могилы предков,
С их унылым собачьим воем,
С их искусственными зубами.
Завещали любить потомкам,
Долго-долго вослед смотрели
Тем диковинным птицам черным,
Что летели в беззвучном небе.

Пионеры коней седлали,
Собирали скарб свой нехитрый,
Сигареты и чай полночный,
Из любимых из песен детских
Уходили в седые горы.
Подымали знамена пророков
И курились дымы седые
Hад патлатыми головами.

Пионеры крепили мачты,
Паруса наполнялись ветром,
Корабли уходили в море,
Море щедро дарило бури.
Пионеры встречали смехом
Эту ярость стихии глупой,
И смеялся Веселый Роджер,
Потому что он был романтиком.

Пионеры так много хотели,
Hо всегда не хватало денег,
А потом подвалили деньги,
Но уже ничего не надо.
Пионеры еще вернутся
Умирать на Васильевский остров,
Где нелепые лес и горы.
Меж бессмысленных вод океана.
