My Life Will Never Be the Same
You saw me on the street and ran away
Not leaving me a word, you running's all I got —
I stood there not knowing what to say.
My life will never be the same,
'Cause when I met you in the chapel praying,
You didn't say 'amen', I couldn't count to ten
Before you left, it did make me feel gray.
My life will never be the same,
Next morning in the store I saw you paying,
You hid behind the stall, I did not know at all
The reason you avoided being called.
At last I caught you at your door,
You seemed so pretty, prettier than before,
I asked you 'bout this game, you told me everything,
And tears filled up your eyes — you seemed so poor;
You told me that you were in love with me,
But couldn't tell — you thought that I was free,
Was roaming on my own and didn't need a home,
A loving wife and all what it could be.
I smiled at you and gently wiped your tears,
And then you pressed your lips against my lips...
Since then we never part 'cause you're my loving part,
My life has changed and I am loving that!
