Asymptomatic patients, what is this?
Vocabulary is enriched today!
Look at the past and now reminisce,
deception then becomes as clear as day.
When you had no cough and no sneeze,
and no headache had bothered you or pain,
and if your lungs breathed always with ease,
to call such person ill was then insane.
To wear masks, when virus is so small
as nano-particle, and holes in the tissue
as for a fly are gates of football,
who can explain then, what is the issue?
Why locking people when we need the air
for normal healthy living, for well being?
Why using dirty strategies of scare
and cruel laws so rapidly decreeing?
Alas, it is the time of big lies,
spewed from TV and other media sources,
and people buy today porky pies,
the government such policies endorses.
A new normality? For those who accept
the road is broad of slavery and dumbness,
for those who from reason disconnect,
and who forget the taste of human oneness.
Yes, they, who like Esau for some broth,
for safety are ready to forego
their freedom, masking faces with a cloth,
how to be free or safe they'll never know.
But when the deeds of those ruling bums
are black as soot which they're executing,
now civil disobedience becomes
for those who are sane a sacred duty.

Every one knows that politicians and media always manipulate the truth for their own purposes and lie frequently. I often wonder why so many people blindly trust authorities. Is it because most of us are lazy or too busy to investigate the facts and ask questions and it's far easier to go with the majority's opinions?
It may seem to us that we are in control of our thoughts and behavior, but social psychology tells a different story: since humans and social beings, we are very much influenced by others for various reasons.
Following the crowd allows us, for example, to function in a complicated environment, without wasting too much energy. By aligning with the crowd in a dangerous situation, we assume that the chances of surviving are greater when we copy other’s behaviors. This is known as a conformist tendency.
And now, playing on this, the propaganda machine is working on an unprecedented scale.
However, Jesus in the book of Matthew ch.7:13-14 taught us, Christians, not to be conformists, when He said:
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it."
But worst of all, when people are obeying the instructions of the authorities without questioning them.
Apostle Paul in his letter to Ephesians 5:11 strongly advised us to have nothing to do with the wicked deeds of darkness but rather to expose them. “If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” George Washington
And this is what my poem is dealing with.
