Ribbit-ribbit - frogs are croaking...

Перевод на англ. яз. cтихотворения Г. К. Кайгородова
            «Лягушки квакают: ‘КВА-КВА’ »

"Ribbit-ribbit" - frogs are croaking,
To the grassy river talking.

"Quack-quack" - ducks tremble: "It will rain,
Because the frogs don't sing in vain."

"Honk-honk" and "honk" - geese nod and say.
A goat's troubled: "Maaaa."
A horse starts nickering: "Neigh, neigh."
A scared sheep weeps: "Baaaa."

A chicken cackles: "Cluck-cluck-cluck.
I'd like to fly to test my luck."

A rooster: "Cock-a-doodle-doo."
"Woof-woof," - a puppy makes ado.

A cow loudly mumbles: "Moo."
A kitten cries a piteous "Mew."

I hear a noise, a din, a cry
About me. I wonder why.

And old Kuzmich speaks in his beard:
"Such gloomy clouds - I'm afeard.
Because a quire of frogs I hear,
I think a thunderstorm is near."
