Rainforest stream

You unwillingly woke me up
From that hollow hell of a dream.
Aching which you could stop,
While facing boiling rainforest stream
We need to pass by near
For all we've got is now and here.
What awaits after the flimsy bridge of sorrow,
Just a risk as we do not seem to know -
Longing this for many years,
So take my hand and have no fear.

Disturbed moths tickle in our bellies
Looking for light hidden inside you.
Let's scare them off picking poisonous berries,
A small bite can't kill  - hope is true.

Dirty secrets bite like creepy crawlers -
You may leave one on my sweaty shoulder
Hanging on weak sticky vines over and over
As you pace swinging lower and lower.
Don't stagger seeking familiar branches,
Naked like your arms needing stitches.
Squeeze the thorn you've just gathered
As if heady nights like this one never weathered.

Bathing in a boiling surrender,
We will try to make up now together
In crystal clear waters for the better.
Left on a stream coast torn up crimson sweater...

Like a puddle of mud - probably it was blood
Scratching each other apart, carried away by the flood
You still won't hear the main word, drowned in walking near herd.
Chew it (1) like they (2) do with the plants - spit it out like a cud.
Should you ask it for more, sinking away from the shore...
So your nails are doing  - that's what we waited for.

1) the word
2) animals in a herd.
