Thousand Stars

You pulled me up on my feet
From hollow grave I dug too deep
And told me I was worth a thousand stars

You were there when I was broke
You picked up pieces from the floor
And put them back and mended all the wounds

You were there when I was on my knees
Begging to relief the pain I feel
You took my hand and said be with me

A thousand stars I meant to be
The brightest star of galaxy
Its light the purest thing to see
Wasn’t meant to burn for long
You blinded now and I can’t take you home

You pulled me up on my feet
From hollow grave I dug too deep
And told me I was worth a thousand stars

I have lived a thousand lives
One of them was enough
But wouldn’t fill the void inside my chest

Was the ending worth the way?
All the things that I had said
Now distant whispers in the dark
