Consecrated

How could I with my own past connect,
except in memories? Alas, I don't know.
Could I reverse the time to correct
mistakes, committed so long ago?

But He, who is above all things on Earth,
He knows all my problems and each sorrow.
Beginning from the moment of my birth,
He is aware of what comes tomorrow.

All things before my Lord are lying bare,
He knows me inside out, whole,
and even from conception He was there,
for He is the Designer of my soul.

And this is why I trust Him with my heart
that He is there, right in the middle
of troubles, when my life falls apart
and with afflictions and regrets so riddled.

I bring to Him, to Jesus Christ, my grief.
I trust, His will is perfect, He is wise,
that periods of suffering are brief,
and that His heart with me in pain cries.

My life is not forever to endure
and not forever it's for pain sentenced,
for God along provides me with cure,
when in my heart the Lord can see repentance.

And even in my grief I know peace,
the Father's love, the joy to be accepted.
This works against every Satan's ploy,
and makes me with God's purposes connected.

Producing patience and self-discipline,
encouraging, protecting me from sliding,
so quietly, invisible, unseen,
the Spirit of the Lord is daily guiding.

The fertilized soil of the time,
in which my soul to grow is allocated,
is to produce the fruit for God, and I'm
to holy life through pain consecrated.

"Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." 2 Corinthians 7:10

"Godly grief" produces repentance: turning away from the sinful path to go in the right direction. That repentance leads to salvation and leaves no regret. Paul may not have in mind here salvation in the sense of a person's eternal destiny. Those in Christ are securely saved because God's forgiveness for sin is irreversible. He may have in mind salvation from sin's painful consequences.

Godly grief hurts. It hurts us to recognize our sinfulness and our responsibility for bringing pain to others with our sin. If that hurt leads to repentance, though, it is a pain that frees the believer from regret. In the end, a Christian is glad for the grief that brought them back to the path of life.
Worldly grief, on the other hand, leads only to death. Worldly grief is a pain over the consequences of sin that does not lead to repentance. It is only pain followed by more sin followed by more pain. The path of sin always leads to death and destruction and never to life and joyfulness.

"But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:11

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5
