Higher than the sky on Paris Cultural Convention,

The sky
Is a home for free and vivacious souls,
The source of the air we breathe.

How far can the artist go?
Until the edge of the galaxy and even further.

Paris, 1954.

Names of eternity, longevity,
Beauty - all are there.

The Convention is signed in a glorious place
To emphasise the role of our country
In international cultural processes.

The elegance of these words and numbers,
The unanimosity of the High Contracting Parties,
The importance of art in the Soviet Ukraine
And afterwards,

It all sounds like a song,
And each creative person can shine and share
The results of sleepless nights
Or brilliant, rapid elation moments.

Ukraine's glory
Is in its captivating songs,
Luxurious paintings,
Meaningful books,
Inventive artists
And thoughtful critics,

So let's fly to the peak of the stratosphere
Of our minds
Together.

©  Maryna Tchianova, a poet, critic, art reviewer from Ukraine, is always excited by the proposal to give feedback on how these conventions work in the 21st century,
is willing to discuss questions that arise upon new, collective or anonynous pieces of art as they become increasingly popular.

The role of Ukrainian art quality and identity in the EU is getting increasingly important as experimental genres and new forms of performative art march the planet.
