A dark saint about Giulio Andreotti

No one know why I'm here.
The sermon is over, and I still feel

Faith flowing from my hands,
Fear behind me.

The church is full of guests,
And they see through me.

No one knows the truth -
How lonely I am in fact,
How solitude reminds me of
My youth in the sun,
My string of victories,
My beautiful garden of lies.

I did my best,
I tried to cover up for some of
My friends.

Who cares?

I am the glorious silence
And blood drips from my hands

At night,
When the world is asleep.

A dark saint,
A shining shadow
With solely the will to go on

Playing my role.

I am a sinner
And a lonely hypocrite,

No one cares about the shot
Or my motives,

Angels fall from the sky
Into the cradle

Of freedom
And knowledge.

I am no longer your idol,
But I transcend mortality
And breaking news find no words
To define me.
