Whose Poms unquestionably won
The hearts of every educated generation.
 
It’s not his ladies with their faces pink like peaches,   
It’s not his gentlemen in frilly coats and breeches.
His Poms are easily the first
To draw the eye of those who thirst
For secret knowledge that a timeless painting teaches.
 
You never hear them call us brave or loyal.
But never mind: we are innately royal.
