To My Beloved Bride. A Confession

Forgive; forgive me, o my dear lass
For my unwritten messages and letters.
Long years, like thunderclouds, pass.
The end is closer with freedom from the fetters.
Forgive me your severest heartache,
My arrogance, which caused you to cry, moan;
I will, I will become a decent sage
Inspired by your pure love alone.

The day will come when we’re at last united.
Above our heads will shine the light of Him,
Who sent us forth into this world enlightened
From His Celestial Kingdom of Eden.
Eternity will then belong to us,
We won’t be afraid of Time anymore
And no vanity will we behold, nor fuss.
We’ll live in happiness, which no one knew before.
