That simple grammar can be so painful.
I’ve learned my lesson. So please release
And save the words for someone you’ve enchanted.
I was. You were. “We” now don’t exist.
We were and vanished, no use denying
We’re finished now, but we know at least,
The simple truth and complicated lying.
I will be, but you won’t be with me.
That’s future simple, if you don’t remember.
So stop pretending and just let me be,
And start again from learning your grammar.
