A Comet

What if I was neverwhere?
What if it’s all just a dream...
Suddenly went down the stairs,
Back where I’ve already been.

I’ve never fallen so quickly
Out of delusional sleep
Poetry- daily and weekly:
Watery thoughts are too deep...

I go insane, like the winds do,
Picking up stones from the dust:
Body so stupidly clings to
Moments that shattered and passed...

Meteorites burn with anger-
They just don’t know where to go:
Dancing a beautiful tango,
Closing a heavenly show.

As if exposed to the jury
Stars in the sky now are clear:
Visible trophies of fury
Out in the infinite sphere...

Walking the land that is foreign
Secretly scared to look up
Those who have been here before me
Know that I’m caught in the trap.

I give myself to their glory:
“Almost” is never enough.
