The flower moon

I was driving fast that night
I saw the flower moon right in front
I didn’t know how many days remain
There’re the words that still unheard
And your stories that still untold
So the long life wasn’t long enough

I’m standing now alone
in a dark and empty field
so far away from home
Confused in what I feel
Grieving for you and everything I love
Looking at the stars dying far above

The inevitable comes like a snake
unexpected and you grow numb
then you ask yourself what is going on?
It’s a springtime with its budding trees
A new life is about to come
There are questions I never can respond

I’m standing now alone
in a dark and empty field
so far away from home
Confused in what I feel
And I knew that time won’t change its course
so I was there by the freezing Universe

This is a night at sea where ships ride
With no captains, no flashing lights
This is a night in the desert looking like the planet Mars
I know you saw the light from the other side
I heard that no one's ever won this war.

I’m standing now alone
in a dark and empty field
so far away from home
Confused in what I feel
I thought there’s time to postpone and wait,
now I know there’s a time when it’s too late

It’s pointless but I wait for call
you’re just back where you came from
I’m not okay, but I’ll be better down the road
No black hole or dark night can absorb your bright soul
So I’ll see you on the other side

I’m standing now alone
in a dark and empty field
so far away from home
Confused in what I feel
An end will meet a beginning soon,
‘cause there is no other way
under the flower moon
