3. The Impossible Things - Part 22

There are no untellable fibs
When you’re sure: speaking the truth will hurt.
There are no untakeable ribs
If you’re God and your Adam will court.
There are no unlikeable cribs:
When you love any hut will be sought.
There are no unhangable jibs
If the low spirits disease you’ve caught.

There are no reachable coasts
If you can’t swim or all’s in a mist.
There are no unproposable toasts,
But do not drink until you get pissed.
There are no unexorcisable ghosts:
If they do disturb, call for a priest.
There are no unquittable posts
If you’re in the manager’s shitlist.

There are no unrelaxable cords
If you do not care for discipline.
There are no indestructible hordes,
But not always it’s your men who’ll win.
There are no unsheathable swords
If we’re tired of the horrors we’ve seen.
There are no unobeyable lords
If your master to you’s everything.

There are no receivable serves
If you’re a tyro — but you can try.
There are no unchangeable curves:
They depend on demand and supply.
There are no unachievable verves,
As a painter you being real high.
There are no untouchable nerves,
But before you hurt ask yourself, “Why?”

There are no unwearable girdles:
Any garment can underline grace.
There are no unclearable hurdles
If you’ve got a horse of the best race.
There are no unturnable turtles:
What’s your chance to survive in that case?
There are no ineludible hurtles,
But they are when one flies in the face.
