3. The Impossible Things - Part 20

There are no unblowable wigs,
But no wind’s needed — just get the knock.
There are no unpleasable pigs
If you have got the devil’s own luck.
There are no ungiveable digs
If you’re sure there’ll be no hit or shock.
There are no unwhistlable jigs
To a milestone if you do no work.

There are no hidable scorns
If respect for someone has been lost.
There are no untreadable corns,
But say “sorry” at least and at most.
There are no untootable horns
If a person’s fond of making boast.
There are no unremovable thorns,
But that won’t add beauty to a rose.

There are no inaudible throbs
When two hearts beat affectionately.
There are no unshiftable bobs
If you’re short of time continually.
There are no unformable mobs
When they’ll look at a death penalty.
There are no unraisable hobs
If no harmony’s in a family.

There are no openable purses
If you like to receive, not to give.
There are no uncallable nurses:
They’re so pretty you don’t want to leave.
There are no unlayable curses
If in evil spirits you believe.
There are no uncomposable verses
If without your poems you can’t live.

There are no unputtable curbs
When violence or passion breaks loose.
There are no unlearnable verbs,
But they’re hard if you don’t know their use.
There are no unhatable urbs
Where there’s all things to find and to lose.
There are no ungatherable herbs,
But be careful of what you (ab)use.
