From Russia with love

     With thanks to Diana, Ignat, Hayat and all members of Vegas group for two marvelous months we’ve spent together.


Hello, our dear English Friend!
You know, we’ve faced a huge disaster:
Your calls are coming to the end
And we just can’t help feeling heartsore.
We’re used to talking every day,
It has become some kind of custom;
We saw your name on the display
And were prepared for good pastime.
We didn’t notice it sometimes
We spoke to you another language
(And, to be frank, among all rhymes
We couldn’t find one for the “language”).
We talked about everything -
The secrets, we would never share,
Who’s into sports, who likes to sing,
Who, when and where used to travel…
Your calls are coming to the end,
We’ll miss a lot for each discussion.
You have become the Real Friend,
No matter English Friend or Russian.

It’s for The King of M-one-hundred-nine,
The Captain of the ship at sea of knowledge.
But we all know you as a naughty guy,
What was the first of interesting disclosures.
We also know you as a classy friend,
Who’s always glad to help with any problem,
With whom we’ve spent much more than one weekend
And couldn’t help enjoying every moment.
The time we’ve had here was a perfect time!
You’re one of those who make this school the great one.
We’ll miss you, King of M-one-hundred-nine,
And will be glad to come back to your Kingdom.

We’re gonna talk turkey
About two previous months:
We have this tradition
In our coalition,
So, here is a feedback from us.
We aimed to be better
And it didn’t matter
If it was sunshine or rain,
We gathered together
In spite of bad weather
And studied with pleasure again.
You led us to knowledge
And during that voyage
You chose the most interesting path.
Much faster than ever
All difficult grammar
Became easy-peasy for us.
Our lessons are over,
We want you to know
Each one was incredibly good!
We thank you for teaching
And wait for new meetings.
