You reap what you sow

A mighty surge of energy,
Self-confidence and strength.
I don’t know why I‘m feeling it
Among the ruins of faith.

I‘ve learned the course of history,
Made sure that we’re great.
This period chills bitterly,
“This too shall pass”-they say.

Been always under criticism,
Extravagant and stained.
I live my free and happy life,
The critic’s doomed to fail.

All‘s veered out of control
In their specious world.
I let things run their own course,
The foes reap what they sowed.

Where are you now, my tireless court,
At this chaotic time?
Not sure that I want to gloat -
You should have shed more light.
