3. The Impossible Things - Part 8

There are no uncorrectable trips,
But sometimes it is so hard to do.
There are no untestable lips:
It’s great kissing the one who loves you.
There are no unoverridable rips,
For there are men who’re cruel through and through.
There are no unvaporizable drips,
But a roof must be mended, it’s true.

There are no dislocatable joints
If you sit, doing nothing, at home.
There are no ungirdable loins,
There are times when you can face a storm.
There are no unhittable groins:
You’ll be killed if your tongue has a worm.
There are no unmintable coins:
Money may go and money may come.

There are no unexplainable wars;
None the less, everyone pays the bill.
There are no unpaceable floors
If you’re nervous and cannot stand still.
There are no unslammable doors
If you’ve understood her love’s not real.
There are no unreopenable sores,
But it’s not a thing I’d like to feel.

There are no disagreeable spoons
When your lover’s with you, always near.
There are no unsociable prunes:
Of themselves they all think no small beer.
There are no unshootable moons,
But beware: they can find you, my dear.
There are no unhummable tunes
Even if you don’t have a true ear.

There are no imperishable groups
If there’s no hate between them to hide.
There are no uncheatable dupes
If there are some swindlers by their side.
There are no unportable soups
If you want to go for a long ride.
There are no unloopable loops
If you’re an ace not fearing to die.
