You and I (From A to Z): R

R: Your gray eyes radiate
Love, joy and happiness.
I drown in them, ‘tis true,
By this sight I’m impressed.

I ratiocinate:
Nonsense is I’ll leave you,
For you reanimate me
Whenever I feel blue.

I’ll ne’er recalcitrate,
I’ll show amiability,
And you’ll reciprocate
My childish tractability.

I’d like to recreate
Myself at a resort
With you right by my side,
The beauty beyond thought.

We will recuperate
Our strength and then return
To this cruel world again.
(Oh, will it ever learn?)

I can reiterate
That your nature is mild,
That you rejuvenate me,
And I feel like a child.

Wish we could renovate
The world ‘round you and me:
It must renunciate
Wars and hostility.

I cannot reprobate you,
For all you do is right,
I’ll never quarrel with you
And never make you cry.

I won’t repudiate
Your gift, ‘tis great indeed.
You seem to read my thoughts
And know what is my need.

The world around rotates,
Sometimes it does not matter,
But I still ruminate
‘Bout how to make it better.
