Gospel of Matthew

на мотив Dan Romer - Now He’s Our Father

He once was on a runway, descendant of David’s line,
his birth was marked with come of Magi and a starlet’s shine,
he fled to Egypt and then back for Nazareth’s rejoice,
he was baptized in Jordan’s waters when he heard the Voice.

He spent his forty nights out in the wilderness alone,
he had no bite of food, though he could turn to bread a stone;
his soul was tempted by the Satan’s promises and sins –
the Father’s Words were said through him, as he abolished bliss.

He started preaching early, spreading the Divine in world.
He called out to the twelve, as it’s a number after God –
fulfilling prophecies of ancient; he was healing sick,
his sermons were listened to, as if he was the King.

He did not come to wipe out Law, as he is Law himself –
the Father reached out through him so people can excel.
He did not come for righteous, as they don’t need to be saved –
the Father justly spoke in Love to sinful, lost, enslaved.

He calmed the storms, he fed the poor, the world followed his Word:
it walked his path and did not wish his story left unheard;
it made the steps of his and left the dead bury their dead,
while he forgave, restored, found Matthew and sent out the Twelve.

He praised his Father Lord revealed in motion through his acts –
he was the chosen Servant and God’s Spirit he adapts.
The ‘heart is restless until it has found its rest in You’ –
whoever does the God’s Will, is in their actions true.

Predicted his own death thrice and accepted it as Will,
he left disciples grieving – they were dull to the faith still.
Continued healing, teaching, as he reached out to their hearts,
for Peter was Messiah and for Judas – silver bars.

He was betrayed, accused, despite his soul was free from sin;
he did not call for Father, as he the Scriptures must fulfil;
he was then left alone, as back in days, and crucified,
he raised on his third day, as was divinely prophesied.

Now he’s the Teacher, and teaches along his way.
Now he’s the King, and his Word shall be obeyed.
Now he’s the Son, who’s free from Divine’s wrath.
Now he’s Messiah, and he shall lead us on our Path.
