1. You and I - From A to Z - D
D: With you I won’t debate,
Not even if I’m right,
For I can let you do
What’s right in your own sight.
You really decorate
My life, do not you see?
And I’ll be very sad
If you are not with me.
I’d love to dedicate
My life to you, my youth:
Oft I deliberate
If I can do ‘t in truth.
You need not demonstrate
Your candid feelings, girl,
For you denominate
All by your glance, my soul.
I’ll never denudate
Myself of hope that I’ll
Sometime deserve you and
You’ll ‘gree to be my wife.
You won’t denunciate
Me for not loving much:
I assure you that you’re
My gold of the best touch.
I cannot deprecate
The things you want to do,
I will not derogate
In keeping watch o’er you.
You won’t desiderate —
You will have ev’rything.
I cannot desolate
My girl whom I will sing.
I shall be devastated
By grief if you leave me,
For I know such a girl
Like you will never be.
I will not deviate
From the path I’ve picked out,
I want to be with you
All my life, I don’t doubt.
I could dilapidate
All I have for my girl,
But you dimidiate it
And say, “Don’t give me all.”
I’ll ne’er disanimate
Myself when you’re with me,
And I discriminate
‘Gainst your friends verily.
I think they dislocate
Our life, don’t you think so?
They always hinder us
And make me feel so low.
They disorientate me,
Asking if I love you.
Don’t they see that I’d die
For you? Only too true.
I wish to dissipate
All the fears that you feel,
Though you can dominate
Them if they aren’t too real.
Don’t fear, don’t dubitate,
I’ll never leave you, no!
But I shall duplicate
Your happy days, I know!
