87. Survivor

Your ship’s gone down with all its crew,
No one is left alive but you.
And sitting on an unknown shore,
You think that you will see no more
Your native land, your son and wife:
This knowledge cuts you like a knife.
But nothing can be done by now
(Though you’ve survived shipwreck somehow),
For you are on a desert isle
Without a thought it’s for a while.
You curse the waves that cast you here,
But seems to you they do not care.
So to your fate you’ve to submit,
Though y’don’t think you’ve dropped on your feet.
Try to survive once more, my friend.
I assure you, it’s not your end.
