77. Darkness
Darkness, I am walking alone through the streets.
See nobody, only hear as my heart beats.
But as it’s closing to midnight,
I begin to feel some fright,
I’m afraid of something that can happen tonight.
My steps loudening in the cold night air,
I think I am heading nowhere.
But as the cold wind starts to blow,
I wish I could find my home,
Want to be with you, I want nothing more.
Darkness, where is the sun?
Is it forever gone?
I don’t want that, neverending dark is no fun.
Midnight monsters are creeping behind.
Maybe, they are just in my mind.
But I don’t care at all,
I know you’ll hear my call,
And we’ll be together, without “if at all.”
