a safe place

I don’t wanna be like them.
Alone, hating my job.
I’m scared i’ll turn out to be like them,
hating the world with no one to hold.

I see the way they look at me,
judging my every step,
”another doll” they say to me
”don’t even bother to hold on”.

and this is what i get for being different
for trying to break down these walls,
they treat me shitty cause they see ambitions,
and think i might become someone.

i’m searching for a place to call home,
for someone who’ll be there for me,
a safe place for creative people,
who simply want to live.
