Come to God

Humbly come to God and leave
all anxiety behind.
To His Word eternal cleave
with your soul, heart, and mind.

What He promise, He will do.
What He said, He’ll bring about,
making everything anew
and removing any doubt.

He accepts without reproach
those, who, repentant, groan.
Come, in confidence approach
God’s imperishable Throne.

He forgives the vilest sin,
giving a new life inside,
which you can in Christ begin,
if to Self your hope died.

Bring by locusts eaten years,
lay your troubles by the Throne.
He will wipe away your tears,
giving peace beyond all known.

With compassion He will take
lives broken, defiled.
Come to Him, and He will make
you as His adopted child.

When you come to Him and draw
near and without restraints.
Meek and reverent, in awe,
God creates from us His saints.

Bring your faith, bring your trust,
to the Holiest of places.
God is merciful and just
and abundant in His graces.
