UFO Lapis Trubetscoy

sun's shining bright today into my window
softly in sky a UFO flows
i'll open windows, and the doors too
alien dear, i welcome you

this morning i went to the store
bought there some pies and some "loco four"
trimmed all my nails and cleaned my old coat
and sat on the bench: come, UFO!

let all them fools laugh at me and ridicule
my humanoid will come out of null
and it will tell me "Greetings! you're one that i sought!
you are the boy that waited and yearned!'

this morning i beat my old carpet clean
washed my cat and put all trash in the bin
then put on the tape 'Greatest Hits of ELO'
then sat on the bench: come, UFO!

stars in the sky fell asleep long ago
the saucer gleamed, then the darkness kicked on
there's no boy, there's no window
there's no Sun and no UFO..

Сел на скамейку - лети НЛО
Звёзды на небе уснули давно
Тарелка мелькнула и стало темно
Мальчика нету и нету окна
Солнышка нету и нет НЛА
