All That She Wrote

by Vlad Bolshinsky

One morning she leaves you a note:
“It’s over” – that’s all she wrote
At work she cries for a while
I pass by and offer a smile.

She doesn’t love you any more
She changed the locks on every door
And though she forces me to hide
I am the one she lets inside

She wonders if her parents are home
Four walls, she hates being alone
She tells them, they argue and then
She sleeps, thinking of both men

She doesn’t love you any more
She changed the locks on every door
And though she forces me to hide
I am the one she lets inside

Confused, she visits a shrink
He mumbles, making her think
Getting impatient, his words become sharp
Hey Cinderella, it’s time to grow up

She doesn’t love you any more
She changed the locks on every door
And though she forces me to hide
I am the one she lets inside

She doesn’t love you any more
She changed the locks on every door
And though she forces me to hide
I am the one who comes inside
