The world is more and more perturbed
by daily news, by threats of wars,
and hearts of people are disturbed
by what for us the future stores.
Shalom, shalom, the greatest Peace
that Christ alone can instil...
From fears Jesus can release
and make the troubled souls still.
Amids all suffering and pain,
amids anxieties and strife,
the Peace of God can make you sane
and give the fullness of the life.
Shalom is more than a concord,
a temporary peacetime known,-
the Peace that’s given by the Lord
is the Eternal Life’s loan.
Today and in days to come,
when prayer’s made in His name,
He gives the strength to overcome,
and puts your enemies to shame.
Make Jesus in your heart increase,
when Spirit gives you a new birth.
Shalom, shalom, the greatest Peace,
when Jesus comes, will fill the Earth.
