Dear frivolity! My sweet sin,
My dear partner, dear foe, dear blessing,
You’ve sprayed on my dull eyes a grin,
Spread mazurka through my blood vessels.
You’ve taught me not to keep my ring
With whoever life brings together,
Start at random from ends, not cling,
And to end before start - just sever.
Taught to be like a stem, like steel.
There’s so little in life we can do:
Grief with chocolate we can heal,
Laugh in faces of passersby, too.
