You look at me like I'm your whole world,
Like I'm the reason that you even wake,
Like everything you've ever done and do
It was and always will be for my sake.
Who am I in your eyes I wonder still,
Some kind of goddess that comes with the spring?
A silly girl who opened up your heart
And brought to surface your long hidden part?
You're a loner, you've always been,
You live in shadows, I in the sun.
What kind of higher powers that be
Decided that we would be great as one?
I don't know but I'm grateful still,
Your sight alone gives me such a thrill.
You show the words you'd never say
In little gestures every day.
What I do know is where the rest survive
In our world, with you I feel alive.
