Behind the clouds

I was spinning in my head,
Because I can’t see the truth
On the top of the mountain
Shrouded by clouds of words,
Empty and light
As if a dandelion.
The wind plays with them –
Gathering all of it in the thoughts,
Those hungry flocks
Which devour my being;
Or dispersing across the sky
Like a vain illusion.
It spills out of my glass
The inebriation of revelation,
And unquenched pain
Deprives me of the pleasure
To melt in the celestial blue
Or drown in the aroma of flowers.
I can’t believe in other gods,
And they mock me.
Waves reach my feet sadly
And silently return to the ocean,
So nothing is learned.
Behind-clouder, take me to your place...

Мені паморочиться в голові,
Бо не можу видивити істину
На вершині гори
Окутаної хмарами слів,
Порожніх і легковісних
Наче кульбаба.
Вітер бавиться ними,
То збираючи в думки,
Що зголоднілими отарами
Пожирають моє єство,
То розсіюючи по небу
Немов пусті ілюзії.
Він вихлюпує з мого келиху
Хміль одкровення,
І невтамований біль
Позбавляє мене насолоди
Розтанути в небесній синяві
Чи потонути в ароматі квітів.
Не йму віри чужим богам,
А вони насміхаються з мене.
Хвилі сумно лягають до ніг
І нечутно повертаються в океан,
Так нічому й не навчивши.
Захмарнику, візьми мене до себе…
