Благая мысль мне говорит пристрастно
О вас, пленившей дни мои и сны.
Слова любви столь сладости полны,
Что сердце, кажется, со всем согласно.

Душа узнать стремится ежечасно
У сердца: «Как с тобою пленены?
Зачем лишь ей одной внимать должны?
Слова иные изгоняешь властно!»
«Душа задумчивая, — говорит
Ей сердце, — это дух любви нам новый;
Он мне, таясь, открыл свое желанье.
А добродетели его основы

В очах прекрасных той, что нам сулит
И утешение и состраданье».

A thought, so light, still talks to me in passion
Of you who captured all my dreams and days.
My heart agrees to you in all dimensions,
Sweet words of love still carry me away.
My soul inquires heart with every hour:
“How are we captured? Why is she so vast?
You deter the names that differ, and only her name
is about to last!”.
“Oh thoughtful soul – the heart replies,
this is a love's new spirit,

and kindness without limits
