I was seven years old. My father and I were walking in the park. He was holding my hand gently. Suddenly, he looked into my eyes and said, "Be brave."
I felt something profound in those words, but I didn't understand what he meant.
Many years later, I understood what he wanted to tell me. He knew that I was different. He could see it in me, he could feel it.
He wanted to say "Be brave: follow your heart, don't let the world change you"
Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
I looked into my father’s eyes
And said: “You’re so strong and wise!
I want to be as good as you!”
He answered me: “Be Unique… You!”
Be You!
