Event horizon

You made up a world we could call our own
Alone, among stars, lost in outer space
Enjoying the time of wild oats we’d sown
And risking to crush in the craziest race

Astride the black sea of infinity
We’ve built our ships to break through
Caught up in between our affinity
Forgot ‘bout all that we knew

But failed storming flaws and discordance
Were scattered throughout millions miles
Became vessels of the absorbance,
Forever divided exiles

They say dawn brings understanding
But it’s sunset which really does
It opens the wounds that need mending
The dark makes you stick by your guns

If frequency’s lost, so hope is
Then search for the wide open doors
Come over black holes and black sorrows
To find it again, at all costs

To wake up again, but much stronger
Than you were before blacken rifts
To die and revive, no longer
Fear afterwards sudden phase shifts

A challenge of spirit and test of the faith
Not all’s fair in love and in war
The space has no edge, but for will it’s a lace
That breaks as you’re rid of the sore

To reach for the stars and to witness eclipse
Rush over event horizon
The mystery calls so send forward your ships
To start, on your own, uprising

Against all the odds, chase stardust in the flow
Of solar wind blowing further
As hope isn’t missing as long as you go
Ahead, ‘cause it is always worth it
