Things that matter

People get angry. People get hurt.
People just cut their precious lives short.
And while they do so, they feed onto lust
And fully demolish each other’s trust.

People want THAT and people want THIS.
And while they do so, they, ruthlessly, miss
Those things in the world that matter indeed
Like one soothing word, a smile of a kid…

A sun ray that flirts with a crown of a tree
Is so worth our living, won’t you agree?
Or blasting a pop song alone, in your car
When you are out on a freeway, chasing a star.

Your window’s rolled down, the night’s cruising too
The wind sets you up with a cool hairdo.
These are true happiness moments for you.
The "little" things matter, in my point of view.
