***
I feel my blood speed up its racing.
I have no doors, nowhere to come
And I just can't escape from chasing.
The fear I thought I overcame
Seems settled deeper in my heart.
What can I do to make it tame,
To make my struggle not so hard?
My throat is filling with a lump.
But I won't cry, I can't, I'm strong.
The pain makes my body numb.
But I can bear it, I know.
If only I could make it tame,
I could have lived with it for years.
The fear my heart cannot restrain
But I must try to keep it there.
'Cause those, who're fearless enough
To let go of their darkest fears
Cannot be called as brave and tough.
They're just afraid of pain and tears.
