A Letter to October

Late October,

You’re amazing with your chills and melting snow
With your sunsets, ever cloudy, giving shades of crimson glow
With your forests: pointy, bare, in the sea of fallen leaves
With your rivers flowing slowly, waving as if dancer’s sleeves

With your mountains, sleeping quietly overnight in cloudy haze
With your pine trees, spruces, abies - standing like an ever maze
With your sounds of birds’ singing far away of noisy streets
With your first and funny writing on the snow with footprints

Maybe you will leave tomorrow, or it happens in a week
When you hand down, quick or slow, grace of season just to leak
And become a freezing winter with a shield of heavy snow
Sleeping deep until the springtime brings again awaited thaw!

Just remember: I’ll be waiting till you show the above!
Hope to see your next year’s splendor! I do hope!

With all my love,

OG
