When politics appears in the arts,
It is an easy way to grab attention
That turns the heroes into comic nuts ---
Here comes the well-deserv'd gratification.
Make people laugh at simple and easy jokes,
Make villains vile, according expectations,
Make the consumers of your art enjoy
The pictures of expectable relations.
That kind of art is not a rocket science,
It is paid well, it brings artistic laurels,
Whether or not it may survive the times,
It brings to life some entertaining colours.
Alas, I cannot do that kind of art,
Being born as a lamenting sorrowful bard.
