I overheard a clever conversation
Of elderly respected gentlemen:
They were discussing science, United Nations,
Technologies, invasions, and boheme.
The BBC provided common topics ---
I recognised every single thread, ---
Their middle-class Britishness was spotless,
It only gets more stiffened under threat.
Then they discussed the pains of immigration,
Complaining of the cultural impact.
As ``papists'' were dismissed by the nation,
So are the wildlings of the current act.
Through centuries, the people stay the same:
Smart, eloquent, reserved - shine or rain...
